Volunteer of the Year

Volunteer of the Year - Patti BeachCongratulations go to Patti Beach who has been selected as the 2010 Volunteer of the year. Thirteen years ago, Patti became a volunteer here and has consistently and selflessly contributed her time, her heart and her resources to support the needs of our patients and their families.

A familiar face in the Surgery Waiting Lounge, Patti is a comforting presence to family and friends waiting for their loved ones who are having surgery, and a trusted liaison between the surgery dept. and patient care areas. A long-time Auxiliary Board member and Scholarship chair, she has developed and refined the Scholarship application and review process and streamlined the program. She works tirelessly on all the fund raising projects the Auxiliary undertakes and is just as comfortable working behind the scenes washing wine glasses or cleaning and cutting 50 pounds of fruit for the salad bar, or up front selling mega-numbers of quilt raffle tickets at sites throughout our community.

Beyond her Auxiliary volunteering, Patti is a SJRMC Hospice volunteer and volunteers in her church, as well. It is safe to say that she lives St. Joe’s mission, philosophy and values in all walks of her life. As one of her fellow volunteers stated, Patti is an extraordinary Auxiliary volunteer who is committed to making St. Joseph Regional Medical Center the best it can be for everyone.
