Salad Bar
25th Anniversary of the Auxiliary Salad Bar Celebrated June 18th
Hands that Serve Hearts the Care was the theme for the 25th annual Auxiliary Salad bar held June 18 in the hospital conference rooms. Over 470 guests were served, raising nearly $2500 that will go directly into the Auxiliary’s dedicated account to support special projects at SJRMC that enhance the medical care available in our community.
The 25th anniversary was celebrated in a decor of gardens and summer flowers to complement the broad, scrumptious array of salads donated by nearly 100 volunteers. Guests have come to expect a visual and sensory treat at this popular community event and no one went away disappointed! Compliments go to De Grant, and Barbara Robbins, co-chairs for this years’ event. This event is a tribute to teamwork at it’s finest with several committees and countless volunteers stepping up to take care of details large and small.
The Auxiliary’s “Favorite Recipes” cookbook, filled with popular salad bar recipes and other delicious entries was also available for sale at this year’s salad bar and a limited number of the cookbooks are still available in the Auxiliary’s The Elizabeth Shop.
This Salad Bar is made possible each year by the faithful support and hard work of SJRMC’s Dietary, Environmental Services, and Facilities Management Staff! Sincere appreciation also goes to Printcraft Printing for their continued support of the Auxiliary by donating the ticket printing for this annual event.
