Introduction to Critical Care Nursing
The goals of the CCN is to review the pathophysiology of major organ systems and diseases, to increase knowledge of critical care nursing, and to integrate new knowledge in analysis of critical care case studies.

Intended Audience:
Registered Nurses interested in increasing
their knowledge of critical care nursing
and applying that knowledge to the care of
patients.
Objective:
- Define Critical Care
- Discuss physical and psychological effects of pain and anxiety.
- Identify the physiological basis for the hemodynamic monitoring and treatment for altered values.
- Identify indications for initiation of mechanical ventilation and its complications.
- Discuss the progression of shock and sepsis.
- Describe Nursing and Medical Management of patients with Nervous System alterations, Renal Failure, Gastrointestinal Alterations and Endocrine Alterations.
- Identify mechanisms of Traumatic Injury and discuss nursing care.
Registration & Payment:
Due four weeks prior to class. Upon receipt
of payment and registration forms, your CCN
provider manual will be mailed to you.
Cancellation/Refund Policy:
*To receive a refund, notice of cancellation
must be received two weeks prior to the class.
No refunds after this time or for no-shows.
Substitutions are permitted.
*Refunds: Less $50 for CCN book and administration fees.
