Lamaze® Preparation for Childbirth

This 12 hour childbirth class offers expectant parents an opportunity to receive answers to all their questions about giving birth and reviews what typically happens when mom comes to the hospital to deliver. Through these classes, parents will learn the signs of labor, relaxation skills, paced breathing and comfort management. Moms and their support persons rehearse for labor to help ease anxiety surrounding the birthing experience. This comprehensive course also addresses post-partum emotions. We will also offer instruction in car seat purchase and installation by a National Highway Transportation Safety Administration certified instuctor. The 6 week course meets on weeknights and is offered at the ldaho Street location. Our teachers recommend that expectant parents complete this course 2 to 4 weeks prior to their due date.
